On Thursday Sept 29, Camosun’s Women In Trades students visited Kinetic’s Chown Place project for a tour hosted by Superintendent, Cliff LeBeau. Over the hour tour, Cliff took the students through the building while providing detailed explanations of the work. The students are still figuring out which trades to choose but were delighted to hear Cliff highlight each trade that has worked on the project. Thank you to Danielle Bion for helping organize this tour and to Cliff LeBeau for a hosting and telling just enough caulking jokes.
Located at 11 Chown Pl., the four-storey apartment building will provide 58 homes for families and seniors with low to moderate household incomes. The building will have a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom homes. In addition, residents will have access to a communal lounge, laundry and storage rooms, and a sun deck on the third floor of the building.
